Bertram Rota Ltd are located at 31 Long Acre in Covent Garden, London. Our first-floor premises are open to visitors from 9.30am to 5.30pm on weekdays. Impromptu visitors are welcome, although we recommend an appointment.

We also welcome mail order and internet customers. Many of our regular clients are based overseas and we have an excellent history of shipping books abroad speedily and fully insured.

We issue regular printed catalogues. The Financial Times declared Number 192, The Printer and The Artist, to be "compulsive reading" and our 300th catalogue, of the magnificent Simon Nowell-Smith poetry collection, was much-lauded. We exhibit at major international book fairs. We are members of the Antiquarian Bookselling Association and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers. Anthony Rota served as President of the former in 1971-1972, and of the latter from 1988-1991.

We are happy to carry out valuations for purposes of sale, insurance or probate. We are always keen to buy single books of importance, collections of first editions, scholarly works on history or literature, and entire libraries. We are also interested in original manuscripts, corrected proofs and typescripts, historic and literary autographs, books on architecture and the applied arts, and portraits or drawings of literary interest.
