Presentation Copy, inscribed by the author on the front free end-paper in the year of publication “To Dodo and Eric with lots of love from Carol & Ted 25th October 1975”  The inscription is to the author’s close friend Eric Walter White, the poet, editor, translator and composer, and his wife Dorothy. It is enclosed by sketches by Hughes of a ferret-like creature and a large flower.
