From the London library of the 2nd Earl of Dudley, bearing his armorial bookplate.  This volume (itself comprised of two volumes), covers the period 1789 to 1801 and the Peace of Amiens. The 2nd Earl of Dudley served on the staff of the Imperial Yeomanry in South Africa, 1899-1900, commanded the 1/1st Worcester Yeomanry in Egypt and at Gallipoli in 1915 and later served with the staff of the 40th Division on the Western Front.
