Thin card, printed one side Very nice copy A note printed at the foot of the card states: “Brother Frederick Keel (Singer), the owner of the manuscript, concealed it from The Sette until the meeting on the 24th November, 1936!”. This was the second version of the “Chant”, the first having been set to music composed by Bernard Quaritch.Sold together with a Proof Copy (single leaf, printed one side, approx. 28 x 22 cms. (11 x 8.75 ins.) bearing penciled corrections in an unknown hand and a similar Proof incorporating these corrections. Price: £45 <<Back |
