Powys (John Cowper)   Joiner and Steele,  1931 First Edition No. 1 of only 60 numbered copies, this being inscribed by the author to the publisher: “Gratefully inscribed to A.W. Steele John Cowper Powys”   Original black cloth Preliminaries just a little darkened, otherwise a very nice copy in somewhat darkened and worn dust-wrapper. Loosely inserted are cuttings of an essay on Richardson by Louise Morgan from Everyman, 22nd October 1931. These are corrected in an unidentified hand, possibly in preparation for the essay’s later appearance in pamphlet form  This limited issue is not described by Thomas and is not listed in the English Catalogue of Books for 1931.
