Stevenson (Robert Louis)   Chatto and Windus,  1887 First Edition    Full black morocco gilt, sides with outer floral roll and further oval floral rolls enclosing a gilt sun-like ornament with initials “M.S” surmounted by a coronet, spine in compartments with raised bands, lettered and dated in gilt, compartments with gilt flowers, all edges gilt, unusual turn-ins with repeated floral roll and large protruding cornerpieces with flowers and a semé of dots, marbled end-papers Free end-papers slightly browned at edges from turn-ins, trivial wear at corners, otherwise a very nice copy; inscription on fly-leaf which is mounted on a stub
