Muir (Percy H.)  Frontispiece, plates (frontispiece to the second volume offset onto title-page)  1931 First Edition [One of 500 and 750 copies respectively] Two volumes  Parchment-backed marbled boards, spines lettered in gilt, uncut Boards just a little rubbed at edges, the second volume a little spotted at fore-edge, otherwise a very nice set. Presentation Copies, inscribed by the author on the front free end-paper “For C.S. Lillycrap This snake in the grass Percy H. Muir 20.viii.1931” and “For Bob, a most welcome visit from the author Percy H. Muir”; Robert Elwell’s copies, with his bookplate designed by Reynolds Stone  Loosely inserted is a Typed Letter signed by Muir, 1 page, 4to, 1934, on Elkin Mathews Limited letterhead, to C.S. Lillicrap [sic], who had ordered Points, offering to send the second volume.
