This edition contains two poems, “Aubade”, which won third prize and “Two Lovers and a Beachcomber by the Real Sea”, written by Plath whilst an undergraduate at Smith College, Massachusetts. An interesting example of Plath’s early published poems as an undergraduate, these two appearing three years before her first volume of poetry, The Colossus.
